The therapy dog

I found myself dealing with more unhappy situations with my 80 year old aunt last week. As she’s in hospital at the moment, I took Jake to Tyneside with me as my therapy dog and he was brilliant – great fun on the beach, company in the house while I did various necessary and no-fun things. Dogs are GREAT. Jake is particularly great!

Here are some snaps from the beach at the bottom of my aunt’s street. Though it’s hard to take pics while you’re playing tug with sandy seaweed.

Therapy dog for sure! Glad he was there to make things better. And glad there was a beach there for him. It is a very interesting beach too, nothing like here in Florida!

Therapy for you, I guess! A couple of years ago my brother had a terrible car accident and looked as if he might not recover well at all. We took Penny to the rehabilitation hospital each day and she just sat with him. True therapy just in her presence at his side.He has made a compete recovery, thank goodness.
